Thanksgiving...

Yeah.. I know I was going to keep up with my Thanksgiving list of people I wanted to thank... or to tell I'm Thankful for them... but life sorta kept me away. Anyway...

Here we go again with another year going away and a new one kicking up! With so much hustle and bustle before the biggest two Holiday's of the year, most people don't get a chance to really enjoy them! But honestly, I already have enjoyed myself this Thanksgiving Holiday - though the actual DAY is still a week away almost...

Sadly, I got quite ill this past weekend, Nov. 15 - 18, and couldn't really do anything but lay in bed and drink fluids... You see, I got severely dehydrated along with a UTI AND a Kidney Infection. I wasn't drinking enough water and thus I wasn't getting enough fluids in my body. I've never had a kidney infection, so I've never understood any of the things about them. However, I learned quickly that I will need to keep my fluid intake up or suffer the alternative... Not a fun idea.

Well the past 2 days I've been able to hold down my first set of meals since all that mess started, which is nice meaning I should eat healthy and really focus on taking better care of myself... or it could go bad again...

When Lessie was getting off work on the 17th, I simply asked him for some juice - if he could pick up a bottle on his way home from work - not only did he do this - getting the biggest bottle he could possibly find, but he got me a heating pad...
This heating pad really helped my back muscles relax enough for my body to begin healing and the pain in my side to go away. However, because I was so desperate to relieve the pain, I had the heater seating on high and scorched my back badly enough to cause a blister... not a good thing. But, two nights of sleeping on the heating pad I have had very low back pain and my left side - where the kidney infection is - has very little pain now.

On my birthday we went to the doctors, then we went to look at TV's for the apt. Not really expecting to purchase - only to price. But we went to our renting place and found a wonderful 42" plasma LG television for only $14.99/wk. And since we already were renting from them, they knocked the price of our entire rent payments down to $87/2 wks! That really helped us because we kept it under 100 and it also allowed us to enjoy better quality of tv along with energy savings!

Then Yesterday, Tuesday, Les had to work again - even though the restaurant is usually closed that day - his boss called him in for some help that day. but after he got off we enjoyed a good movie together - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on Blu-Ray. Nice clean picture and quite entertaining!

Anyway, that's about it...

I'm thankful for God's blessing on our lives here, he has given us the means to take care of ourselves and the means to get things we need or really want! May God bless you this Holiday!
