Well the fall season is upon us here in the great state of Texas. It seems like it's going by so quickly, too... I mean, just a few weeks ago we were in 100 degree weather, now we are in the mid-70's to very low 80's. It's getting rainy and foggy in the evenings and mornings, too. Such is the life of our great state in the changing of the seasons.
The last couple of days I've been reflecting on things, trying to make sure all the thoughts in my head are sorted out. No easy task, I assure you.
However, little by little we have been getting our apartment in order. We have gotten several things set in their places and taken care of. Yet, we still need seating in the living room - as we are currently using the futon in the bedroom for a bed - which is fine! Loving the fact I'm not getting off the floor so much anymore. It's very difficult for pregnant women to get up and down on the floor. I wish I'd known that sooner.
Anyway, we've been doing really good. This payday we have our car payment and such plus a part of the rent due by the first of November.
This is going to be a hard time doing all this at once. Mainly because bills are so close together right now - we are hoping to have everything we need by the 5th done. Our landlord is graciously kind and what's better about her, is that she's a God fearing woman! It's quite nice to have someone willing to help in our time of need.
Lessie is doing far better than I've ever seen him. He's not stressed out and he's got the Favor of God on him - from all that has been going on - certainly he does. His boss appreciates him, I appreciate him, God appreciates him, even his co-workers appreciate him in their own ways. It's something different for him. He's always been pushed around and unwanted or just plain ignored. But with God's favor on him, he's a slight celebrity! LOL!
The more he lets go and lets God, the more blessings come his way! I hope he never stops trusting God to take care of things. Little by little he's come out of his defensive shell, little by little he's changed into the man I know he is - the man God is molding him into being.
I am thankful God put him in my life.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, as is my birthday... so my question to you is this:
WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR THIS YEAR AND ALL THE YEARS SINCE?
I am grateful and thankful for God's gifts and blessings and even his discipline!
I'm thankful and grateful for my Lessiebear.
I am thankful and grateful for our son, Gabriel Lee Alexander Nixon (Due in february).
I am thankful and grateful for my parents, they have been a great example of showing unconditional love and always willing to show it.
I am thankful for my niece and nephew, Saxon and Joe, who are my sisters children and whom I love very much.
I am thankful for my sister and her husband, Hannah and Chad, even when we don't always see eye to eye.
I am thankful for my freedom and those who died to give it to me.
I am thankful for my rights and those who fight and die for them.
I am thankful for my life; even when it's the darkest, God always gives me a light to follow!
So, what are you thankful for?
