A little Bible Study and an Update...

Ever look into something but can't seem to get out of your head once you've given up looking for it?
Well lets just say that I found that if you just leave it to God, it comes to your mind and He gives you understanding of that which we seek.

I have been under the impression that people all over the world, believers of the Bible and Torah, are looking at Melchizedek as though he was the Son of God, Jesus, before Jesus came to be in the New Testaments in the Christian Bible.
This gave me pause. I have been wondering about this for many years myself, I haven't really delved too much into the Bible or Torah, I have really just made Hypothesis' about the origins and likeness of the Two major Figures in the Bible and Torah.

Let me remind you that there is but One God, to whom all glory and power and honor and might and majesty belong. He was, is, and is to come forever and eternally the Living God.
I have researched this Melchizedek person, and have found him in the Bible and in the Torah, as being THE High Priest of the Most High God.
Even Abraham met him, after he defeated the kings of his day, he gave a tenth of his things to Melchizedek as an offering to God the Most High. This story can be found in Genesis 14:18-20 - in the Torah I know not the exact location (save that it would be in the book of the first book of the Torah)

Melchizedek is said to have no genealogy, that is to say; no mother or father, no beginning and no end. Also, He is only mentioned in Three books of the Scriptures (the Christian Bible) and possibly in the Torah. The next mentioning of the persona of Melchizedek is in the book of Hebrews.

Hebrews chapters 4-7 have several tidings of not only Melchizedek, but also of Jesus being IN LIKENESS of the persona of the former. This is where my studying have come to be proof of my Hypothesis that Jesus IS NOT Melchizedek.

Hebrews 4:14-16; 5:5-10; 6:19-20; 7:1-10, 11-21
In the first part of these Scriptures it talks about how Jesus is the High Priest, how through His gift of mercy and salvation from his Blood sacrifice we can approach the Throne of the Most High under grace.
In the second part of these Scriptures, I will quote the scripture 5:5-10:
So Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father." And he says in another place, "You are a priest forever, IN THE ORDER OF Melchizedek." (caps on my personal emphasis) During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest IN THE ORDER OF Melchizedek.
This passage simply states that Jesus was LIKE Melchizedek but was not, himself, the person.
In the third part of these Scriptures, I will quote (again) the scripture 6:19-20:
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, IN THE ORDER OF Melchizedek.
Again you see the EMPHASIS that I have made on the line "in the order of" - this has to mean that Jesus was AFTER Melchizedek, not the persona himself. Anytime someone tells another that he or she is "in the order of" it means they are FOLLOWING that which it is they have taken in the order of. This continues to prove my hypothesis that Jesus is indeed a separate yet likeness, to the person known as Melchizedek.
In the next set of scriptures - the final ones in the book of Hebrews - you will see the history of Melchizedek, or at least a small story of Whom he could possibly be.
In Hebrews 7:1-10; Melchizedek is described as a High Priest (before their were PRIESTS! of LEVI!) of the Most High God. It even tells you his names sake.
Hebrews 7:2-3
And Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, his name (that is, Melchizedek) means "king of righteousness"; then also "king of Salem" means "king of peace". Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, LIKE the Son of God he remains a priest forever.
So, this plainly states that Melchizedek is NOT Jesus the Son of God! As the truth continues it goes on to say how Jesus is LIKE Melchizedek. I urge you to review this - come to your own opinions and hypothesis!

I do not try to pretend I know the truth of Melchizedek, but I do know the Truth that he is NOT the Son of God who is named Jesus. Another piece of information that will help you understand my Hypothesis, is this; Isaiah, the book of Isaiah says that the Son of God would be the "root of Jesse" - so if Jesus has a (fleshly) beginning, and a (fleshly) end, he can not be Melchizedek. For Melchizedek has no END!
Here is another place you can find the name of Melchizedek - it is close to Hebrews' interpretation.
Psalms 110:1-4:
The Lord says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion; you will rule in the midst of your enemies. Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn you will receive the dew of your youth. The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, IN THE ORDER OF Melchizedek."
So, you can see I have looked for all the information I could on this person. Jesus is the Son of God, yet he his High Priest - Melchizedek is High Priest but he is NOT the Son of God.

My hypothesis is this; Melchizedek, I believe, is the Holy Spirit - for only the Holy Spirit ministers to the Father with the Son. Jesus has proven and said "None come to the Father except through me." So, with each new finding, I am coming to the truth of my assumption. I wish you the best of God's understanding if you wish to check into this yourselves.

Now for an update:

I'm doing well, I have been getting more and more thirsty for the Word of God recently. I am proud to say I have been steering away from former addictions of the flesh - yet I am still working on others.
My employer is in the Hospital again, but I have not heard much news. I am praying she is alright and that the twins are healthy enough for her term.

Prayer requests:
1. That my niece learns of Jesus - because she doesn't know him yet.
2. That my sister learns of Jesus' peace and love - because she has pride and arrogance that makes her stumble far too often (like myself) and she refuses the teaching of Jesus.
3. That my friend Russell G. learns more of his own Faith - because he is still learning.
4. That my father returns to Christ - he sees only the negative of life nowadays, not looking to God for the comfort he needs, he lashes out to everyone hurting people with his words and accusations.
5. That my mother open her heart to God continually - keep her in the Presence of God.
6. That I may grow more spiritually with Jesus - I need a closer walk with him.
